Extract PDF Pages
Keep only the pages you choose.
When to use it
Use it to take the pages you need out of a long PDF, such as one chapter, the signed pages of a contract or a single invoice.
How it works
- Choose a file, or drop it onto the box above.
- Enter the pages you want to keep, for example 1-5, 8.
- Press the Extract pages button.
- Download the result, or add a next step without downloading.

Where your file goes
This tool runs in your browser: the file is processed on your device and is not uploaded. The Network tab of your browser's developer tools shows this.
What is kept, and what is not
Only the selected pages are kept, unchanged.
Limits
- The pages come out in their original order. To change the order, add Rearrange PDF Pages as the next step.
- Files up to 512 MB each.
- PDF documents up to 5,000 pages.
- The work happens in your device's memory, so a phone may fail on a file that a computer handles.
If something goes wrong
The page numbers do not match what I see in my reader
Use the position of the page in the file (the first page is 1), not the number printed on the page.
The PDF asks for a password
Remove the password first with Unlock PDF (you need to know it), then try again.
The page becomes slow with a very large file
Close other tabs, or use a computer instead of a phone.
My file is not accepted
Check the formats listed above. A damaged file, or one with the wrong extension, is refused with a message saying why.
Questions
How do I write the pages I want?
Separate pages with commas and use a hyphen for a range, for example 1-5, 8, 11-12.
Is the original PDF changed?
No. You get a new file with the chosen pages; the file you added stays as it was.
Continue with the result
The result can go straight into another tool on this page, without downloading it and uploading it again:
