Help
Everything runs in your browser. Drop a file, pick what to do, and download the result.
Where your files are processed
Most tools run entirely in your web browser: files are read and changed on your device and are not uploaded. Conversions between PDF and Word, Excel or PowerPoint need our conversion server; those tools say so and ask for your permission before a file is sent, and the file is deleted after the conversion.
The first use of some tools takes longer
Text recognition, SQLite, Excel and HEIC support need extra program code. Your browser downloads it from this website the first time you use such a tool. Your files are not part of that download.
Browsers and devices
You need a modern web browser with JavaScript enabled, on a computer, tablet or phone. Our automated tests run in Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome and Edge. Large files need more memory, so a computer handles them better than a phone.
File size and other limits
Each tool page lists its limits, such as the largest file size and the number of PDF pages. They protect your device and the server from files that cannot be processed safely.
Several steps on the same file
After a result appears, you can add a next step, for example Merge PDF followed by Compress PDF, without downloading and uploading in between. Your steps stay on the page if you reload it; the files have to be chosen again.
When a tool fails
The message on the page says what went wrong, for example an unsupported format, a password-protected file or a file that is too large. Each tool page also has a short troubleshooting section.
