Terms of use
Last updated: 2026-10-26
Who provides the service
PdfTaxi (https://pdftaxi.com) is provided by its operator. Contact: privacy@pdftaxi.com.
By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The service
The site offers free tools to convert, merge, split, compress and otherwise process PDF, Office, image, spreadsheet, SQLite and ZIP files. There is no paid plan and no charge.
Most tools run in your browser. Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF, PDF to Word, PDF to PowerPoint send the file to this site's server, only after you agree on the tool page; the Privacy policy explains what happens to it.
Conversions are automatic. Formatting, fonts, layout, form fields or other details may change or be lost; check every result before you rely on it. Compressing a PDF on this site rewrites it without losing quality, so the size reduction is often small.
Limits apply to file size, the number of files and processing time; tools may be changed, paused or withdrawn.
Acceptable use
You may only process files you are entitled to process. You must not use the site:
- for anything unlawful, or to process material that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- to upload malware, or files designed to crash, overload or attack the service;
- with scripts, bots or automated mass requests beyond normal personal use, or to get around rate limits, quotas or security measures;
- to probe or test the security of the site, except as described under "Reporting a security problem";
- in a way that disrupts the site for others.
We may block requests that break these rules.
Your files
Your files remain yours. We claim no rights in them. For server conversions you give us only the permission needed to convert the file and return the result to you; the file is then deleted (see the Privacy policy). We do not publish, share or keep your files.
Copyright and other complaints
The site does not host, publish or share files: each file is processed for the person who provides it and is not available to anyone else. If you nevertheless believe the site is being used to infringe your rights, or you want to report unlawful use, write to privacy@pdftaxi.com with:
- your name and contact details;
- a description of the work or right concerned;
- what you are reporting, with enough detail to find it (for example the page address);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate;
- your physical or electronic signature, and, if you act for the rights holder, a statement that you are authorised to do so.
Contact for these notices: privacy@pdftaxi.com. We acknowledge notices and keep a record of them and of what we did.
Reporting a security problem
If you find a security weakness, please report it to privacy@pdftaxi.com (see also /.well-known/security.txt). Give us reasonable time to fix it before telling others. Do not access, change or delete other people's data, do not degrade the service, and stop testing as soon as you have confirmed the problem. We will not take action against good-faith reports that follow these rules.
Accessibility
We aim for the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA: keyboard operation, visible focus, labelled controls, sufficient contrast, text alternatives and right-to-left languages. This target has been checked with automated tests and manual keyboard checks, not by an independent audit, and some parts may not yet meet it.
If something is hard to use for you, or you need a result in another format, write to privacy@pdftaxi.com; we will try to help.
No warranty, and liability
The site is free and provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it is error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data or for results that differ from the original file. Keep your own copy of every file you process.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence), or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Applicable law
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms; the version on this page applies from the date shown. Last updated: 2026-10-26.
