Create ZIP
Package results into one archive.
When to use it
Use it to send many files as one attachment, or to keep the results of several steps together.
How it works
- Choose your files, or drop them onto the box above. You can add several at once.
- Add the files you want packaged together.
- Press the Create ZIP button.
- Download the result, or add a next step without downloading.
Supported formats
- Input
- Any type of file
- Output
- ZIP
- Files
- Several files, combined into one result
Where your file goes
This tool runs in your browser: the file is processed on your device and is not uploaded. The Network tab of your browser's developer tools shows this.
What is kept, and what is not
Names are kept exactly as written, including Arabic and Chinese, and duplicates get a numeric suffix.
Limits
- Folders are not kept: the files sit side by side in the archive. Password-protected ZIP files cannot be created.
- Files up to 512 MB each.
- The work happens in your device's memory, so a phone may fail on a file that a computer handles.
If something goes wrong
The ZIP is hardly smaller than the files
Photos, videos, PDFs and Office files are already compressed, so a ZIP cannot shrink them much.
The page becomes slow with a very large file
Close other tabs, or use a computer instead of a phone.
My file is not accepted
Check the formats listed above. A damaged file, or one with the wrong extension, is refused with a message saying why.
Questions
Are file names with Arabic or Chinese letters kept?
Yes. Names are kept as written, and duplicates get a number added.
What does the compression level change?
A higher level makes text-like files a little smaller but takes longer.
